An ordinary person would get a huge fine for such a speed. The police official got away with just a reprimand

The police chief did not want to explain where he was hurrying to so urgently on a Saturday afternoon. An ordinary person would have received an €800 fine. The police official was speeding through a village in eastern Slovakia at 177 kilometers per hour, exceeding the 50 km/h limit by more than three times. It was a Saturday afternoon. The head of the local district police department was off duty and driving his private vehicle when he was stopped by a police patrol. He did not want to explain where he was rushing to.
