The railway station in Žilina, its dispatch and administrative building were declared a national cultural monument. The set of buildings from 1939-1942 is, according to the regional monuments, a valuable part of the functionalist architecture of the interwar period in Žilina by renowned architects of supra-regional importance František Eduard Bednárik and Ferdinand Čapka.
