After Irena’s cod in mayonnaise, the Žilina station was also declared a national cultural monument

The station in Žilina was declared a national cultural monument. It was designed by prominent architects

It has been decaying for years, but it is a valuable architectural object from the interwar period both functionally and aesthetically. The railway station in Žilina, its dispatch and administrative building were declared a national cultural monument. The set of buildings from 1939-1942 is, according to the regional monuments, a valuable part of the functionalist architecture of the interwar period in Žilina by renowned architects of supra-regional importance František Eduard Bednárik and Ferdinand Čapka.
