The fee for receiving pension payments in cash via mail will rise to 94 crowns
The fee for receiving a pension in cash through Česká pošta will increase by 16 crowns to 94 crowns starting in January. Pensioners will pay this fee when collecting their pension at the counter or from the postal carrier. Česká pošta announced this on Monday. The last time the pension delivery fee was raised was in February this year, from 35 to 78 crowns. Before that, the fee was increased by six crowns two years ago. The number of people receiving their pensions by mail has been gradually decreasing. Twenty years ago, there were 1.77 million such recipients, two years ago there were 587,600, and last November the number dropped to 524,200..
