It is mainly manifested by excessive daytime sleep and uncontrolled falling asleep during the day. Narcolepsy affects only about 500 patients in the Czech Republic. One of those who suffer from this autoimmune neurological disease is thirty-eight-year-old Martin Prymus. “We live in a state of chronic fatigue. It’s as if a healthy person hasn’t slept for three days under full load. How do you want to work with that?” he asks.
