The NSA protected a simple password: “nbusr123” worked for about 5 years!
A simple password to the NSA network worked for about five years. This follows from the testimony of Ján Tóth, the former head of the company that supplied the NSA with technological equipment. Tóth said that his employee, who configured the devices, entered the test password in November. Subsequently, in January or February 2001, when the devices were handed over to the NSA, the office employees should have changed the passwords. Tóth was the last witness in this process. Before him, the District Court Bratislava 5 heard an expert in the field of information technology and the trial continues with the reading of documentary evidence.
