Representation is not a job, authority says, giving canoeist a smaller pension
In his opinion, the state assessed the former Czechoslovakian canoeist a pension lower than he is entitled to. The dispute relates to the years 1972 and 1973, when he studied at university and represented the country at the same time; the State refused to count this period towards his pension entitlement. He competed in international competitions, including the 1972 Munich Olympics. The case was also unsuccessfully pursued by the ombudsman and the name of the athlete is not known.
