In Poľana, specifically in the locality of Kyslinky, two conservationists were surprised by a bear cub. Supposedly, she was with her cubs. When it suddenly ran towards them, one of them used a gun. However, he accidentally hit his colleague in the leg. “The she-bear was about to run away and one of the employees fired,” said Petra Kováčiková, Banská Bystrica regional police spokeswoman, adding that under as yet unclear circumstances the bullet hit the younger man in the leg. The man is an employee of the State Nature Protection Agency.
