Thousands of customers in uncertainty. Teplarna owes hundreds of millions to the state and faces foreclosure
Roughly half of the households in the Střekov district of Ústí nad Labem may find themselves without heat and hot water supplies. The company Energy Ústí nad Labem, which supplies heat to the Střekov district, is threatened with foreclosure and seizure of its property. The reason is that it has not paid the fee for emission allowances since 2020 and owes CZK 270 million to the state.
