Expired meat – and now moldy muffins. KFC is facing yet another scandal
Grey-white mold on muffins right on the counter. Inspections following journalist Jan Tuna’s reports continue to uncover problems at KFC locations. At the KFC fast-food restaurant in Jenišov in the Karlovy Vary region, inspectors from the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (SZPI) found moldy muffins placed on the serving counter. Of the seven muffins prepared, four were covered in grey-white mold clearly visible to the naked eye, said inspection spokesperson Pavel Kopřiva.
