Up to a third less meat. Lidl was selling dodgy Hungarian goulash
The Hungarian goulash from Lidl contained significantly less meat than its Czech producer stated on the packaging, inspectors from the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority (SZPI) found when analysing a sample. In response, they banned the sale of four batches. The inspectorate initiated administrative proceedings against Lidl, which offered the goulash under the Pikok private label, to impose a fine.
