Kryštofovo Údolí will lose the astronomical clock and the statue of the heron due to a dispute over the nativity museum
Kryštofovo Údolí in the Liberec region will lose two of its symbols – a statue of a peeing heron and a astronomical clock in a former substation. The operator of the local museum of cribs and the owner of the clock and the statue decided to take the radical step after the municipality did not renew her contract to operate the museum. The museum of toys and cribs was founded more than thirty years ago by Martin Chaloupka, a patriot of Kryštofovo Údolí and the author of the ideas for the statue of the peeing heron and the astronomical clock.
