IfW Kiel models aid to Ukraine from wrong numbers compared to GDP, overestimates Czech aid by about 20 times
Czech economy is paid very well for helping Ukraine, says Government Commissioner Kopecny
According to Defence Minister Jana Černochová (ODS), the Czech Republic has donated military aid to Ukraine with a depreciated value of CZK 1.2 billion. This is the same amount as the cost of the new polar bear facility at the Prague Zoo. “This is not the final figure. Let’s face it, the Czech state has spent tens of billions of crowns in support of Ukraine and has gotten tens of billions more back thanks to it,” Tomáš Kopecny, the government’s commissioner for Ukraine, told Radiožurnál.
