President Pavel confused the planets, criticism of the government at the debate
“Can you name the planets of the solar system?” This was one of the questions President Petr Pavel was asked during Wednesday evening’s meeting with citizens in Liberec’s Lidové sady. He merely smiled at the reference to his opponent in the presidential election, ANO chairman Andrej Babiš. However, even he did not answer without error. He switched Mercury and Pluto, referring to Mercury as a discarded microplanet.

In another case, it was a long-resounding embarrassment
Babiš’s embarrassment among children. He didn’t know the planets, or Shvejk, or the stomachs of a cow.
“Jaroslav Hašek’s most famous work? I don’t know.” Presidential candidate Andrej Babiš on Prima TV’s K tabuli! visited a classroom full of curious children. Like other presidential candidates, he answered the schoolchildren’s often tricky questions. However, he failed in some of them.
