NATO wants to convince Slovaks to support Ukraine. Extremists could exploit this, experts warn
The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation has launched a tender for a campaign in Slovakia on why it is important to support Ukraine. The Alliance’s headquarters plans to run the campaign from May to August, when Slovakia will also be campaigning for the 30 September parliamentary elections. This may have the unintended effect, some experts say, of allowing NATO’s efforts to be exploited by anti-system political parties and politicians who undermine Slovakia’s democratic institutions and spread Russian propaganda.
