It’s been tallied: Mikuláš Dzurinda’s government took up to an additional €30 million from disability pensioners’ benefits

Disability pensioners will be compensated €30 million, which they lost due to pension cuts.

The state will reimburse approximately CZK 900 million to disabled pensioners who have had their pensions reduced or lost after the rules for recognising disability were tightened. Today the cabinet of Robert Fico decided on this. Labour Minister Viera Tomanová (Smer-SD) promised to pay the disabled the extra money, but the Finance Ministry later questioned this intention.
