Karlovy Vary, rain swept away new pavement, firefighters drove to fallen trees
Storms hit the west of the Czech Republic. In Karlovy Vary, torrential rains swept away newly laid pavement, then the inclement weather with thunderstorms and four-centimetre hailstorms moved to the Pilsen and Ústí nad Labem regions. The weather also kept the firefighters busy and by 7 pm they had already made over sixty calls. Most of them were dealing with fallen trees or pumping out water. A passenger train from Germany was delayed due to strong winds.
