Police suspect Justice Minister-designate Blažek of manipulation
Pavel Blažek, an influential ODS member and head of the South Moravian organization, is a candidate for Justice Minister in the government of Petr Fiala. However, according to six independent sources at Aktuálně.cz and HN, he is still under investigation by police, who suspect him of involvement in corruption and manipulation of city apartments and premises in Brno. The case was triggered by the testimony of a friend of the prosecuted ODS politician. Blažek denies guilt, but the party stands behind him.
