Eight meters for life. Only part of the apartment needs to meet the lighting or ventilation parameters
The Ministry of Regional Development has also newly established other conditions that are necessary for the space to allow decent housing. A minimum of eight square metres in flats should be reserved for the so-called living area, i.e. a place that meets the requirements for sufficient light, ventilation and other necessary conditions for healthy living. Thus, the lighting requirements do not have to be met by the whole apartment or the whole room, but only a part of it. Due to rising housing prices, smaller and smaller apartments are being built in the Czech Republic.
