A winemaker from Lednice beat his ex-wife with a lath until he broke her ribs. Nothing serious, the court didn’t argue.
The Breclav District Court presented a strange view of the assault on the woman when it refused to punish a winemaker from Lednice for kicking and then beating with a wooden batten his ex-wife, who had come to take a brushcutter from him. The court said that the dispute was between divorcing spouses and that the intensity was not such as to require judicial punishment.
