Respekt apologised for the current cover, it touched the Vietnamese community
The editor-in-chief of the weekly Respekt, Erik Tabery, has apologised for the cover of the current issue of the magazine. “We used an inappropriate term that affected the Vietnamese community. We apologise for that,” he said on Twitter. In response to our cover, several of our Vietnamese readers contacted me saying they were offended by the Chinese president’s bubble. It features Ching Chong, which was supposed to be a variation on TikTok, the main topic.
