Vyšehořovice bridge from 1836 demolished
Last year, an urgent article was published in the Monuments of Central Bohemia pointing out the stone double-arch bridge from 1836 located near Vyšehořovice on the Výmola stream, which was threatened with deliberate demolition and replacement by a reinforced concrete bridge. In an effort to save this bridge, the National Heritage Institute submitted a proposal to declare the work an immovable cultural monument. However, the Ministry of Culture rejected the proposal, so nothing prevented the owner from having the bridge demolished, which happened during the first half of this year (since the beginning of September, the road traffic in the area has been served by a modern bridge construction).
