The construction of the flood protection dam in Přístavní Street, which was to protect the road up to 720 centimetres above the level of the Elbe, began in 2009 and was completed in two years. In addition to ŘSD and the Waterways Directorate, the City of Ústí nad Labem also participated in financing the construction for more than CZK 600 million.
