Czech glass is popularly called “family silver”, but domestic glassworks have gone through several crises in the last five years and are now slowly getting back on their feet. First the business with traditional Czech products was crippled by the pandemic of covid-19, then the energy crisis hit it. “It was an extremely difficult period,” recalls Lukáš Klimčák, founder of the Klimči glassworks in Kamenický Šenov.
