What the truth really is with Czech aid to Ukraine. We are definitely not leaders, even though the government claims otherwise
The Czech Republic sent tanks to Ukraine soon after the war began. Since then, however, most of the allies have significantly outpaced it in terms of aid. Soon after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the Czech Republic supplied its T-72 tanks. This was at a time when some Western states, fearing an escalation of the conflict, were sending maximum ammunition. The attitude of the Czech government has raised their admiration in retrospect, as several ambassadors of Western countries in Prague confirmed to HN. Gradually, however, military aid from Prague began to wane significantly. According to international comparisons, the Czech Republic is not even in the top 20 supporters of Ukraine.
