Doctor Monika Drakulová (45) is not three hundred years old, she does not sleep in a coffin, she does not live in an old castle. However, she has a strong bond with blood – she works in haematology. Actually, it is nothing special if the name happens to be connected with the profession. “There are many such names. We recently had a sample come into the lab from a vet called Kocur, and a surgeon called Butcher has an outpatient clinic next door,” she says. When she got married, she had no idea she would be doing haematology. She graduated in paediatrics and completed her certification in haematology after eight years.
