A locomotive started to burn in front of Liptovský Mikuláš, nobody was injured
The fire originated in the engine room of a locomotive of a train heading from Bratislava to Košice. Traffic at the railway station in Liptovský Mikuláš was forcibly suspended on Tuesday evening. The reason was a fire in the engine room of a locomotive of a fast train arriving to the station. The incident was avoided without injuries, the passengers were safely transferred with the help of firefighters, informed the spokesman of the Railway Company Slovakia (ZSSK) Dominik Drevický. The fire occurred before 17.00 h in the engine room of the locomotive of the Ex 609 train, which was heading from Bratislava to Košice, before the entrance to the railway station Liptovský Mikuláš.
