Vietnam to buy twelve new L-39NG aircraft from Aero Vodochody
Vietnam will buy 12 new L-39NG aircraft produced by Aero Vodochody. Aero’s strategic partner, Omnipol, and the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence have signed the contract. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2023 and 2024, Omnipol said on its website. This is the first so-called effective contract for the newly developed aircraft, which last year met official conditions for international flight operations, including safety requirements. Senegal has also confirmed its interest in the aircraft, but in this case the contract is not yet at the effective stage as with Vietnam.

Ten billion worth of L-39NG aircraft exports to Vietnam to be insured by EGAP
The first foreign order for new L-39NG jet aircraft developed and produced by Aero Vodochody has received key support from the state export insurance company EGAP. It insured the arms firm Omnipol, co-owner of the aircraft factory, with bank guarantees for the delivery of twelve machines in armed versions to Vietnam. There is no longer any obstacle to exports. EGAP did not specify the exact value of the contract due to commercial confidentiality. According to the E15 daily, it amounts to several billion crowns.
