Seven years of investigation suggest that the punishment for the torture of the Afghan man will be more of a joke than a life sentence

Czech soldiers charged in Afghan death face up to life sentence

The four soldiers accused of involvement in the killing of Afghan Vahidullah Khan face up to life in prison. Khan shot and killed Czech dog handler Tomáš Procházka at Afghanistan’s Shindad base in the autumn of 2018. Four soldiers from the 601st Special Forces Group from Prostějov have been charged with four offences. Khan died in hospital after being detained and interrogated by Czech soldiers.
