HNtelevision brought a live broadcast of a protest organized by the opposition parties PS, KDH and SaS against the government’s changes to criminal law. Directly in front of the parliament building today, the opposition called another demonstration against the proposal of Prime Minister Robert Fico’s government for significant changes in criminal law, which are also criticised by Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová and European institutions. The original intention was to hold the protest action at a time when MPs were due to vote on the matter. However, the vote was postponed until the next day because Tibor Gašpar of Smer had already added another amendment of similar scope to the 20-page amendment he had tabled earlier.
