Pirates show how to simply wiretap Prague police officers. In a system that cost 680 million crowns
The Prague City Police or the medical service can be eavesdropped with a DVB-T tuner. Communication between the above mentioned forces is via the standard Tetra radio system. Voice communication may contain sensitive personal data. Fake messages can be sent to the network. Ondřej Profant, a Prague city councillor and chairman of the regional association of the Pirates, has released a video through the Pirate Party showing how to simply eavesdrop on the communications of police officers, the health service or the transport company. It uses radio technology without encryption and even without authentication.
