Prague can’t handle snow clearing. Sidewalks are slipping, hospitals are filled with bruised people
On the sixth day after snow fell in Prague, the sidewalks remain uncleared. Pedestrians often end up in hospital with injuries. We clean pavements, public transport stops and other places over a total length of 1,734 km, which is approximately the distance from Prague to Barcelona,” says Barbora Lišková, spokesperson for the Technical Administration of Communications (TSK). “We have operatively deployed another 250 people who are otherwise in charge of something else,” Lišková adds.
