The taxman gets another “weapon” against car fraud. Online access to the technical inspection register
The tax administration has been given a second weapon in the fight against car fraud. Without much notice, lawmakers have expanded the powers of the tax administration. They have added a new section to the Road Traffic Act, giving it the right to enter online the database that collects data from technical vehicle inspections. From it, they can obtain information on when a car was subject to a roadworthiness test (STK) and what the tachometer reading was at the time.
