The January incident is an open secret at the site. An unknown man managed to break into the base from which the super-expensive military fighter jets take off. He stole a car, crashed it and fled. The military police never found out his identity. In the village of Chotusice, near the 21st Tactical Air Force base in Čáslav, it is still a lively and grateful topic six months after the event. The regulars of the local pub joke about the airport security, where a “vagrant” broke in unnoticed on the night of 11 January.
