Funds, subsidies and the Smolník Tobacco Factory, the 66 Hours Festival is looking for answers in the Hungry Valley, admission is 30 to 200 euros
What can work in Smolnik, asked the 66 Hours festival
The successful first year of the event tried to bring new impulses to the region. Organizing a summer festival in the Hungry Valley may at first glance seem like a hipster fling. However, the 66 Hours Festival stems from a genuine interest in the location of Smolník and a desire to help the village, which is plagued by high unemployment and environmental degradation. Although in the past it was a mining town of similar importance to Banská Štiavnica, today only less than a thousand people live here. Almost the same number visited the first edition of the festival during the penultimate weekend in July, which aims to bring new impulses to the region.
