The Strahov dormitories have been battling bedbugs for a year, but according to students, the insects are still present in the rooms
The dormitories of the Czech Technical University (CTU) at Prague’s Strahov have been dealing with bedbugs since last summer. Over the past year, the university management has spent more than four million Czech crowns fighting the infestation, and more than half of the rooms have undergone disinfestation. This was stated by Michal Vodička, director of CTU’s Facilities Management, in an interview with Czech Television. According to him, the situation has improved significantly, but he declined to provide specific figures. Some students are considering moving to other dormitories, as bedbugs have remained in their rooms even after a fourth treatment.
