The most expensive car in the Czech Republic is a war booty from the barn. The only Mercedes in the world
It is the pride of the National Technical Museum. Perhaps the most expensive car in the Czech Republic with a price tag of billions of crowns. The last car of its kind to be in original condition. The mythical Mercedes W154 racing car, which was driven by Rudi Caracciola just before the war, has a history that is fatefully linked to Czech realities. It was the most perfect racing car of its time. And if we look at it through the lens of the superiority it had over its contemporary competitors, it may well have been the most perfect racing car in all of motoring history. By a twist of fate, it ended up in Czechoslovakia. And even more fortuitously, it remained in Czech hands.
