The “petition stand” will disappear from the government within a month, Svoboda promised. The district is counting on a lawsuit
Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda (ODS) told Deník N that the Prague City Council and the Prague 1 district are taking steps to vacate the so-called “petition stand” in front of the Government Office. A makeshift encampment has been set up there by anti-government activist Ondřej Thor and the authorities have so far been unable to find a way to dispose of it. According to the mayor, the unsightly jumble of tents, toilets and other equipment could disappear from the centre of Prague very soon.
