The St Nicholas performance in the Matejovce district of Poprad was accompanied by unpleasantness and shouting. Nicholas himself and the Roma children got into a conflict. The daily Korzár reported about it. Video footage of the incident has been circulating on social media. “All those in the first row get absolutely nothing from Nicholas. But absolutely nothing. Because St Nicholas only brings presents and gives sweets to those who are good and who listen, not to those who shout and can’t behave,” St Nicholas of Poprad told the excited crowd of local children who were noisily demanding sweets from the stage.
