Court frees metal singer Blyth, finds him not guilty
The Prague City Court acquitted American singer Randy Blyth of the charges on Tuesday. The metal singer originally faced up to 10 years in prison for pushing a fan off the stage at a Lamb of God concert in 2010. The young man later died. The court said the defendant’s act was not a criminal offence and referred the claims for compensation to civil proceedings. The prosecutor appealed the verdict and filed a complaint against the return of bail, but Blythe waived his right to appeal. The prosecutor proposed a five-year prison sentence for Blythe.
