Scientific diplomat Luděk Moravec was supposed to deepen relations between the Czechia and the USA, but the mission ended in diplomatic tension. American police caught him drunk behind the wheel. When then Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek (ČSSD) sent Luděk Moravec to the USA in 2017, he highlighted him as only the second scientific envoy of the Czech Republic in the world.
