Facebook deleted the historian’s text about Peter Pavel. Who arranged this?
Saturday’s article by Právo about presidential candidate and former Army Chief of Staff Petr Pavel provoked strong reactions. His former classmate Pavel Beneš questioned some of Pavel’s claims about his intelligence training in the late 1980s. The historian Petr Blažek has also published several texts about Pavel’s intelligence past in the last six months. Over the weekend, he published an article on his Facebook profile with quotes from an interview between Pavel Beneš and Práva. However, Facebook promptly deleted Blažek’s post.

Petr Pavel still owes answers
On Saturday, Právo published the headline “A presidential candidate should tell the truth about himself. He doesn’t do it” is the testimony of Pavel Benes, a classmate of presidential candidate General Petr Pavel from a special course that prepared trainees “to be assistants to military attaches, to be their eyes while carrying out intelligence activities on the territory of a foreign, hostile state under the Warsaw Pact.”
