One third of people in the Czech Republic are satisfied with the functioning of democracy, politicians do not listen to the people
31% of the Czech population is satisfied with the state of democracy in the Czech Republic. Only 18% feel that elected representatives listen to what ordinary people think. This was shown in a survey conducted by Ipsos in cooperation with the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO), a research consortium, on a representative sample of the Czech population over the age of 18.

Public confidence in the Czech police is steadily growing
A two-thirds majority of the public (65%) trust the Czech police, a historic high in the STEM long-term time series since 1993. Less than two-fifths of citizens (37%) trust the impartiality of the courts. A slightly higher proportion of people (41%) think the courts do a good job. Almost half of the public (46%) trust the ability of law enforcement authorities. The cited survey by the non-profit STEM Institute was conducted on a representative sample of the Czech population aged 18 and older.
