The end of a sad story. Okay contractors are losing hope of seeing any of their money
Okay has not been saved by significant cuts in operating costs, including store and warehouse closures or staff layoffs. After several years of problems, consumer electronics and furniture chain Okay filed for bankruptcy and is going out of business. It was left with debts of about 700 million crowns, as well as a number of angry creditors from suppliers and franchisees. Okay had more than 120 stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia at its peak, the last of which closed at the end of January.
