Training police using virtual reality: the hardest thing is to report a death, says Procházková
“A police officer undergoes theoretical training before performing his or her job, so he or she knows the rules of communication in a crisis situation. But the reality is that one of the most difficult moments for them is to deliver a serious message. For example, they subconsciously avoid the word “died”. This is what virtual reality helps them with, because they can rehearse the situation repeatedly,” says neuroscientist Eliška Procházková.
