Progressive Slovakia leader offers Pellegrini the post of prime minister
Michal Šimečka, chair of the liberal Progressive Slovakia movement, has offered the leader of the Hlas-SD party, Peter Pellegrini, the post of prime minister. “He has received an offer that would bring the Hlas party in the future government to the level of Progressive Slovakia – in terms of numbers and the strength of the ministry,” Šimečka told Slovak newspaper Denník N. Šimečka also conveyed to Pellegrini his willingness to negotiate the filling of the Interior Ministry. He suggested that it should not be filled by Progressive Slovakia or the Voice, but by another coalition party or one of the independents on whom the four-coalition would agree.

Petr Pellegrini is presented to the Czechs as Fico’s underling, Ivan Korčok as a liberal diplomat, but also as a chameleon
In this review, in addition to the headline topic, you will also learn about the building of bunkers in the Baltic States on the border with Russia, Ron DeSantis’ withdrawal from the US presidential campaign, and Turkey’s approval of Sweden’s entry into NATO. Several Czech media are covering the presidential campaign in Slovakia. Perhaps the most detailed – and also the best – is the Seznam Zprávy website, which published an article on its site entitled “Liberal diplomat vs. Fico’s ally. The presidential fight in Slovakia has begun”.
