Evaluation of the Presidency: the Czechs succeeded, but they can’t boast about it
At the end of the year, the Czech Republic handed over the presidency (Council of the EU) to Sweden. This marked the end of the six months during which it had been responsible for the functioning of the Council, thus “leading Europe”. According to experts and politicians interviewed by iDNES.cz, the country passed the test. However, the achievements are not very visible and the government has not been able to “sell” them sufficiently.
