First kilometre of subway D tunnels punched out
Exactly 1,033 metres of tunnels have already been driven by machines on the first section of the D subway between the future Pankrác-Olbrachtova stations. Almost half a kilometre was created during geological exploration, and another 534 metres in the past seven months.

Laerdal Road Tunnel
Norway is famous for its huge number of tunnels. Their number is close to a thousand. So it’s not strange at all to find the longest road tunnel in the world. It connects Oslo to Bergen and was built from 1995 to 2000. It’s an incredible 24.5 km long. The cost of the tunnel came to about NOK 1.082 billion, which equates to approximately NOK 2.640 billion. There is no toll. Norwegians see a huge advantage in the time and energy savings that the Laerdaltunnelen brings every year.
