The chief of the police wants €40 thousand because of a criminal case, he plans to use it for a trial with the media
Miroslav Stejskal, the director of the Prague 1 municipal police, was unable to take command for seventeen months. He was removed from his position because of a criminal case in which he was responsible for abuse of official authority. However, the court finally cleared him. According to the findings of the daily Aktuálně.cz, he wants compensation from the state for the burden caused by the prosecution, and has appealed to the Justice Ministry.
