Prague advertises the failed astronomical clock, but only because of the cracked painting. It has not decided on a replacement
The criticized copy of the Old Town Clock calendar is awaiting a complaint. However, Prague does not want the contractor to replace or repaint the failed work, but only to repair minor defects, such as cracked paint. Only then will the city discuss the possible replacement of the copy with a new one. The latter should be created under a new commission. The original one did not specify how closely the painter was to stick to the original, and he repainted the work as he saw fit.
