We are trying to debunk myths, say Prague Airport noise makers
Every plane is differently noisy. Even the same type of aircraft can be different. There are planes landing and taking off outside the windows. We are sitting at a table over maps of the noise pollution around the Václav Havel Airport in Prague. “It is shrouded in myths, which we are trying to dispel. For example, the claim that there is such a thing as a night-time lull when planes are not allowed to fly at all. There is no such thing, there are hygienic limits for noise from air traffic, especially for day and night time, and we have to comply with them,” says Dominik Zimola, Environmental Protection Specialist at Prague Airport.
